EDMONTON May 8, 2007 (Troy Media Corporation) - Epiar is making waves south of the border in the web site search optimization industry.

A recent blog on SEOmoz.org, a Seattle-based search engine optimization (SEO) company which serves as a hub for over 20,000 search marketers worldwide, praised the technology behind Epiar’s advanced proprietary search engine optimization software.

Rand Fishkin, CEO and co-founder of SEOmoz, wrote that while “I like to think that SEOmoz gives its clients excellent service… but Epiar has set the bar so high, I've never seen its equal in any of the many companies I've worked with.” Fishkin has been profiled in Newsweek, the Washington Post, USA Today and on About.com. He is a frequent speaker at Search Engine Strategies, the premier event for search engine marketers and optimizers, and is also a Webmaster World PubCon speaker.
 
Ken Jurina, Epiar president and CEO, said that his company provides its clients with the technology to increase their targeted leads, sales, and brand visibility online. “Clients receive data-driven strategic direction on who their target market is and what they are searching for, making it remarkably easier for their products and services to be found online”, he said.

“Our SEO technology grew from the belief that just building an attractive web site doesn't result in a successful web site, that is, it doesn’t improve its rankings, or increase its web traffic or sales. We wanted to help businesses improve their web site return on investment (ROI) by focusing on the science behind Internet marketing and effective online communications, rather than just on the artistic side of web site design and development.
 
“Unfortunately,” he added, “up to now, we have been able to attract more client interest from the US than from Canada.”

Epiar provides its clients with:

•    Automated keyword research (“but very, very deep” wrote Fishkin), by pulling thousands of related terms, synonyms and words frequently found on high ranking pages for the query.

•    Friendly and automated searches, by determining where targeting is missing on a site and where it needs to go to attract search spidering.

•    Automated link discovery, by finding hundreds of sites relevant to the research.

•    Competitive & industry-segment-specific research.

“Fundamentally,” said Jurina, “a successful web site has content people need and can find. The key is to have your web site located in the exact location (at or near the top of a search) your target market is searching at the precise moment they are looking for it.”

“Your untapped market is searching for your organization right now, and these potential customers would visit your web site – if only it was visible in relevant search results or found by a link on a related industry web site.”

Epiar’s search engine optimization services, he said, start with the collection, processing and analysis of tens of thousands of search frequencies – significantly more keywords and phrases, he added, than other search engine optimization companies even look at.
 
Epiar’s search for better market research led to the development of MarketView, its proprietary application which is capable of sorting out the wheat from the chaff on virtually an unlimited number of phrases. “MarketView,” said Curtis Dueck, Epiar Account Manager, “provides our clients with a unique view of their markets' search behaviours. Ultimately, our targeted leads turn into more conversions, not just traffic and leads.”

Epiar, he said, “is about getting targeted traffic to the sites and making sure that the sites have answers to the market’s questions. Once properly analyzed and optimized, our data leads to an improved user experience, targeted traffic and increased conversion.”
